As it became apparent theat European Union leaders will not approve the opening of accession talks for Macedonia, Zoran Zaev posted a Facebook comment assuring the public that the country will come out stronger from this latest crisis.
Nobody can stop us from walking on the path we are firmly on – the path of rising wages, fight against corruption, poverty and pollution, welfare for the most vulnerable. Dear citizens, we are becoming a NATO member, which was our strategic goal since independence. it is clear that the Balkans is changing and is becoming a source of stability. The EU knows that well and must accept that the Balkans is European. We remain dedicated to working to prove where we belong, Zaev said, as he faces calls to resign in light of his apparent failure in Brussels.
