During the traditional, annual address of President Stevo Pendarovski this year, we witnessed a responsible approach in accordance with state interests and as a contribution to our strategic commitments, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev wrote on Facebook.

The contribution that President Pendarovski gave regarding the fight against the coronavirus and in a period when we did not have a functioning Parliament, he bridged the period until the election of the new Government, which created all preconditions for a decisive institutional response to the health, social and economic crisis. We welcome the fact that with President Pendarovski we are unanimous in terms of defending state positions and interests for our future in the EU, as well as in the approach to resolving issues with Bulgaria, said Zaev.

He adds that the address of the President made it clear that they share a common position and unanimity that the Macedonian identity issues – language and nationality as Macedonians, is not up for debate.
