Businessman Jordan Orce Kamcev arrived a little while ago at the Skopje courthouse, where he is set to testify in the Racket scandal. Former Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva and two of her associates are charged with extorting 1.5 million EUR from Kamcev, after she filed money laundering charges against him.

A day before his testimony, police raided businesses associated with Kamcev, in what was seen as an open attempt to influence his testimony.

A testimony from Kamcev which leaked months earlier indicated that SDSM party officials were heavily involved in the extortion. Outgoing Prime Minister Zoran Zaev revealed that he is anxious about what Kamcev may say and began accusing the businessman of being close with the opposition to discredit him, and Thursday’s police raid seemed to be carried out to provide evidence for Zaev’s allegations.

Kamcev arrived alone at the courthouse. His wife Ana was supposed to testify with him, but she was reportedly sick. He is about to confront Janeva and Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13. Leaked video and audio tapes revealed how Boki 13 and another accomplice – Zoran Mileski – Zoki Kiceec – are carrying a bag of money out of Kamcev’s home and are discussing the details of his case, with Janeva chiming in. Mileski already pleaded guilty and was sentenced to three years in prison while Janeva and Boki 13 maintain their innocence.
