V4 news agency journalists pressed the proposed Belgian member of the European Commission Didier Reynders on his alleged corruption ties.
The liberal-democrat Reynders, who is nominated as the next Commissioner for justice, has persistently been dogged by allegations of corruption and money laundering. This includes the deals signed over the Belgian embassy in Congo and leases of state owned real-estate, as well as trading with valuable arts.
V4 reporters mocked Reynders with a print out of the Mona Lisa, asking what value would he place on the painting, before asking him about the investigations against him over the Congo deal. Reynders fled from the reporters.
