Hungary today holds its general elections, with 8.3 million citizens eligible to vote.
The conservative Fidesz party of Viktor Orban faces a coalition of opposition parties, ranging from the far left to the far right, which are supported by powerful international political and business circles. Fidesz maintained a lead over the opposition in most polls.
Along with the elections, citizens will also vote on whether they want to have parental consent for spreading sexual education and LGBT narratives in schools aimed at young children.
