US Attorney General William Barr release a summary of the report prepared by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, and said it determines that President Donald Trump did not obstruct justice and that there is no evidence he colluded with Russia in order to get elected.

It’s a spectacular exoneration of the President who spent the first two years of his term fighting allegations over the legitimacy of his election win against Hillary Clinton. The investigation did affect many of his closest advisers, who faced charges from Mueller, but on issues unrelated with Russia. It greatly affected Trump’s administration and ability to implement his program, as his National Security Adviser, campaign chairman and political advisers were charged and detained.

It’s a shame that our country had to go through this. This was an illegal takedown that failed. And hopefully, somebody’s going to be looking at the other side, Trump told reporters before boarding Air Force One to return to Washington from Florida.

White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders said the findings on the Russia probe were a “total and complete exoneration of the President of the United States.”
