The five individuals stranded in Križna jama, within Slovenia’s renowned Kraška cave, remain in stable condition. They have access to provisions such as food, drinks, and heating devices, as reported by the rescue team upon their return from the cave mission just after 9 PM.

The water levels have begun to recede gradually, offering hope for improved conditions by the following day, potentially allowing the commencement of the evacuation process. Further updates regarding the water level status and the rescue strategy are anticipated in the early hours of the morning, as stated by the team.

According to Slovenian media reports, those trapped include three members of a family—a mother, father, and their daughter—along with two accompanying guides. Their entrapment occurred when rising water levels, caused by heavy rainfall, blocked their exit from the pit within the cave.
