Dancers from the National Opera and Ballet are slated to perform a ballet showcasing Aco Shopov’s “Prayers of My Body” poem sequence this Friday at 8 pm.

This 90-minute ballet, presented as a triptych, commemorates the centenary of the Macedonian poet, Aco Shopov. The performance will be set to the compositions of three Macedonian musicians alongside contributions from other artists.

The visionary behind this concept and the costume design is Aleksandar Noshpal. Sonja Zdravkova Dzheparoska penned the ballet.

Ivana Kocevska, Adrijana Danchevska, and Sasha Evtimova are responsible for the choreography, while Darija Andovska, Aleksandar Grozdanovski, and Aleksandar Pejovski have composed the music.

Mihajlo Stojanovski is the set designer, and Florian Canga from Albania contributes as the visual artist. Actor Nikola Ristanovski will be the voice behind the poetic reading during the performance.
