The Czech Film School “FAMU”, which was the main partner in the project for the Film Academy of the previous Government, terminated the cooperation because the PSI “Film Institute – Film Academy” Ohrid did not fulfill its financial obligations.

The Education Ministry was informed about the decision by letter, personally from the Dean of “FAMU” in which he expressed disappointment with the events with the Film Academy in Ohrid, which was supposed to be the first franchise of the Czech film school, where many famous filmmakers have finished their studies.

The Film Academy in Ohrid has no budget, visiting professors are not being paid their fees, there are no new students thus endangering the reputation of “FAMU”.

The Education Ministry has no solution for the time being, although it says that they will make the maximum efforts for an appropriate solution to the issue.
