The average monthly net wage paid per employee in October 2021 was MKD 29,145 (EUR 473), a 4.5-percent increase compared to the same month in 2020, said the State Statistical Office on Thursday.

This increase is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Other service activities (11.9%), Accommodation and food service activities (10.4%) and Information and communication (10.3%).

An increase in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (3.4%), Accommodation and food service activities (2.2%) and Other service activities (2.1%).

The average monthly gross wage paid per employee in October 2021 was MKD 43,557.
