The 12.7 km road linking Bitola and the Medzhitlija border, part of Corridor 10d, reopened after a 3.6 million euro renovation, emphasized by top government officials. Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski highlighted its significance in connecting with the southern neighbor through Corridor 10d.
Transport Minister Blagoj Bochvarski stressed the investment’s aim to enhance safety and quality for Pelagonia businesses and tourism. Future plans involve diverting traffic for construction on the Bitola to Prilep road, integral to Corridor 8 and 10d expansions.
The road’s reconstruction after 40 years was funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, executed by the Pelagonija construction company, marking a critical step in regional development.
