No agreement was reached at the Economic-Social Council on aligning other wages with the minimum wage. The Confederation of Free Trade Unions has already announced a protest for March 30 in front of the Parliament and the Government and an opportunity to radicalize the next steps, and the Trade Union of Education, Science and Culture (SONK) says they will support the KSS protest, and announced a general strike in education in April.
Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Fatmir Bytyqi said after the meeting in the Government that the dialogue between the unions and competent ministries should continue at the level of each ministry, public enterprise or state-owned joint stock company and if necessary to open collective agreements and see if there are possibility of salary adjustment.
