After the construction business, the Macedonian Orthodox Church is getting involved in the electricity business. MOC together with four other partners on November 25 founded a company for production of electricity, writes “IRL”.

According to the news portal, besides the MOC, the founders of the “Electricity Production Company Hec Dragov dol koo Kicevo” are Sreten Miladinovski, Aleksandra Avramovska, Slobodan Joveski and the company “Zito Karaorman AD Kicevo”.

Timotej, Metropolitan of the Diocese of Debar and Kicevo told IRL that they decided to invest in the construction of a small hydropower plant.

It is planned to build the hydropower plant on the river Treska, but the idea is still at early stages. In our country, it often happens that some things start, but do not always end. I hope that this idea will be realized, says Metropolitan Timotej.

He did not know if the applications for a license for electricity production had already been submitted.
