The number of employees in the public sector has been reduced by 1.717 during 2020, the Public Administration Ministry said. Its estimate of the public sector workforce is reduced down to 113,183 people, most of them in education and healthcare.

The review of public sector employees shows that nearly 55 percent of them are women, and a similar percentage hold high education. The average age is 46 years and 2,660 hold PhDs.
