REK Bitola for its needs has procurement contracts with various companies, but one company with which the state enterprise cooperates in the past years stands out from all the others. Compakt MSF is a company for production, wholesale and retail trade and services, which during its long-term operation, until today, get contracts only with REK Bitola. The owner of the company and her husband are employees of the mining and energy plant. The company, thanks to the contracts received from REK Bitola, has so far collected about 1 million and 900 thousand euros.

Since 2017, this small company from Bitola, regularly gets contracts from REK Bitola, so regularly that only last year and this year they are 20 in number.

Letka Fidanovska has signed all contracts with REK Bitola as director of the company until March 2020. Since last year, she has been listed only as the owner of the company. Fidanovska currently works in REK Bitola, and her company continues to get contracts. The company wins contracts despite the fact that her husband Mende Fidanovski becomes the leader of the trade union organization of REK Bitola in 2018. Exactly in the past three years, Compakt MSF has the most fruitful cooperation with the mining and energy plant, judging by the number of won contracts.

Since Fidanovski is the head in the fight for the promotion of the rights of the workers in REK Bitola, his wife’s company won 43 contracts. Their total value is about 1 million and two hundred thousand euros. Previously, out of 37 tenders within five years, Compakt MSF collected a lower amount of about 650 thousand euros.

During its entire existence, the company has so far concluded a contracts in 2014 with the psychiatric hospital Demir Hisar for the procurement of metal cabinets worth 500 euros. While the name of the company is listed on four contracts of FOD DOOEL – Novaci, AD ESM Skopje which in fact together with REK Bitola is part of the family of AD Power Plants of Macedonia. The contracts are worth about 44 thousand euros. Compakt MSF collected all other million and hundreds of thousands of euros for its entire operation through REK Bitola.

After the mandate of the trade union organization of REK Bitola ends in 2017 because all executive approvals were dissolved, Jasmina Dimovska, an employee in the plant with, as she says, 2,500 signatures collected, becomes the president of the newly formed union. In December 2017, the trade union organization was registered in the Central Register, and Dimovska was listed as an authorized person, according to the documentation she submitted to us. But, as she said at the time, she was changed after a few months in a cowboy way, because while she was on a private trip abroad, Mende Fidanovski declared himself president.

In 2018 I went to Switzerland and the then director of REK, Bitola decides, as if it is his father’s company, to change me with Mende Fidanovski so that his business would run because he has a lot of money in the union account, Dimovska said then.

She added that the position of union leader brings an additional two hundred euros salary. At one point, a lawsuit was filed, as Dimovska says about the usurpation of the union.

At the moment, the country is entering an inflationary spiral, the prices of all products are going up, everything is more expensive in the shops, flour, bread, oil, gasoline and we are facing a new energy crisis. So, while Macedonia is threatened by an energy crisis where it is announced that the price of electricity will increase dramatically, and thus the prices of basic necessities that the citizens need, REK Bitola is giving out contracts worth hundreds of thousands of euros, and electricity in the state depends on only one excavator.
