Deputy Prime Minister in charge of economic affairs, coordination of economic departments and investments, Fatmir Bytyqi, met on Wednesday with the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to the Western Balkans Martin Vickers.

The meeting focused on several topics of mutual economic interest of the two friendly countries, and it was concluded that the United Kingdom is the second largest economic partner of our country.

Vickers reaffirmed the support of the United Kingdom in our country’s Euro-integration processes, but also the support in achieving the green agenda of the Republic of Macedonia, especially through investments in renewable energy sources and waste management.

Deputy Prime Minister Bytyqi also thanked him for the support that our country has from the United Kingdom in the first phase of the preparation of the National Development Strategy 2021 – 2041.
