North Macedonia is an example for all Balkan countries. It boldly resolves all offers. It has great support from Italy. Thanks to this courage, North Macedonia will become a NATO member. That is why we have allowed the country to join NATO. That is why North Macedonia should be allowed to move further to Europe. It does not mean immediate EU accession, but over 35 negotiating chapters, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said at a meeting with Macedonian Prime Minister Zoran Zaev in Rome on Tuesday, adding that Italy would always support the country.

We support the country, we support the decision to start negotiations. I want to tell your people Zoran that we will not allow your people to feel insecure. It’s a historical mistake that we must correct, Conte said.
