German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas pays Wednesday a visit to Macedonia. Maas will meet with President Stevo Pendarovski and Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov.

Dimitrov and Maas will exchange views on the latest developments in the country’s internal political situation, the outcome of the last European Council and possible next steps, as well as remaining reform activities, including the development of good neighborly relations. At the same time, the key moments of the relations between the two friendly countries and the opportunities for their deepening will be discussed, as well as the current dynamics of relations on a regional level.

Dimitrov and Maas will hold a joint press conference after the meeting.

Heiko Maas will meet President Pendarovski in “Villa Vodno”. Following the meeting with Pendarovski, at the joint initiative of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the President of the Republic of Macedonia, a debate on “Current Situation and Challenges in Reforms in the Rule of Law” will be held.

The debate, as the President’s Office informed, in addition to Pendarovski and Maas, will be attended by representatives of the state authorities, the judiciary, as well as representatives of competent institutions in the field.
