I expect the Government to strictly adhere to the Declaration of the National Assembly, the consensus and the will of the Bulgarians to resolve the open issues before the start of Macedonia’s EU accession negotiations, said Bulgarian President Rumen Radev.

As BGNES reports, Radev reiterated that the Bulgarian position regarding Macedonia’s EU integration is based on results, not deadlines and conditions imposed from outside. According to him, any deviation of the Government from the Bulgarian national interest will cause a crisis in the government.

The Prime Minister’s advisers should in no way qualify the Macedonian Bulgarians as a minority. It can undermine the entire process of European integration of the Republic of Macedonia, Radev warned.
