Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva publicly threatened opposition member of Parliament Antonio Milososki during her press statement today. Janeva said that Milososki is “getting carried away” with his statements.

Milososki is one of the dozens of VMRO-DPMNE officials who are targetted by the Special Prosecutor’s Office, an institution which operates as de-facto subordinated to the Zaev regime. Talks are on-going over the future of the institution, as Zaev wants to make it permanent, while VMRO-DPMNE rejects this request, at least in the current form the institution has.

I don’t expect major problems with the changes to the law. The international community gave clear guidelines as did the Government, it’s only the opposition, which is personally involved in this. We can’t have a negotiator on the law who is personally part of a pre-investigation, and now gives statements on the SPO or myself. I’m talking about Antonio Milososki, who is getting carried away a lot with his statements, Janeva said.

Milososki, who has frequently raised the issue of Janeva’s abuse of office for political purposes, as well as her refusal to account for the funds given to the SPO, responded by asking her to improve her vocabulary. The term Janeva used against him, which roughly translates as “to get carried away”, is a common street slang.

Given the size of her salary, it would be better for her and the public if she bought and read some good book and enriched her vocabulary. I know it’s too late to improve her horrible Law Faculty grade average, Milososki replied.

Zaev needs a two thirds majority to make the SPO permanent, and this is difficult to accomplish with the VMRO votes in Parliament. Milososki is one of the main opposition negotiators in these talks.
