Ahead of the start of the extraordinary NATO summit today in Brussels, Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski stressed that Macedonia has already aligned its foreign policy with the EU and has aligned all decisions with NATO and EU member states.

Today, all NATO allies are united and we will offer our support to the people of Ukraine. Macedonia as a NATO member has already aligned its foreign policy with the European Union and we have aligned all the decisions with the NATO and EU member states in order to deter what Putin’s Russia is doing in Ukraine. In order to help the people of Ukraine, we have made all the necessary decisions in the country to accept all refugees who would seek refuge in our country, said Kovacevski.

He stressed that the summit will discuss, among other things, the strengthening of the Eastern European wing.
