New SDSM party leader Dimitar Kovacevski will meet with the coalition partners today. Kovacevski will be accompanied by Zoran Zaev, who elevated him from obscurity to the top position in the party, and is planning to appoint Kovacevski Prime Minister.
The coalition partners are restless after Zaev made huge concessions to the small Alternative party and gave it three seats in Government, including the major healthcare department, in exchange for its four votes in Parliament. Other small coalition partners, who can easily destabilize the Government, are now demanding similar concessions from Zaev and Kovacevski.
