Since Thursday and Friday, La Verità has become Macedonia’s primary media for information. Thanks to the publication of our articles and the exclusive documentation we obtained regarding the extortion system that exists in the country, more than one million Macedonian citizens have visited our website, Italian journalist Laris Gaiser wrote in the printed edition of La Verità.

Until the closing of our third publication, the absolute truth of the information given by the protagonists is guaranteed.

Prime Minister Zoran Zaev gave an official statement that the investigation will have to investigate all the facts of guilt and that responsibility will have to be taken.

At the same time, Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva, in a statement written from Greek beaches, where she is on vacation, admitted that it is her voice heard on the tapes, but stressed that, in the company of the extortionist, she was on the phone with the chief suspect only for reasons related to the official investigation.

A few minutes after Janeva’s statement, her deputy, Lile Stefanova, released a statement on the official website of the special prosecution that in fact, prosecutor Janeva had been instructed to ensure that Jordan Kamchev would be guaranteed freedom in the “Empire” case.

Prosecutor Joveski after a three-week silence, and since Boki 13 is in jail as a suspect for extortion, also based on evidence released by us, immediately demanded that all parties involved be summoned to testify.

Opposition VMRO-DPMNE, as well as the Alliance for Albanians, demand urgent detention for prosecutor Janeva and the government’s resignation.

In fact, the third part of the tape we release today will require additional, serious clarifications.

In the documents we own, most of the conversations between the extortion victim in the “Racket” case, Jordan Kamchev, and the extortionist Boki 13 are likely to be taking place in the presence of Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva, whom the EU has entrusted with the task of establishing the rule of law in the country and prosecution of criminals.

In addition, the second question to which Macedonian politics and the public will now have to give a definitive answer, by analyzing telephone correspondence and personal meetings, is what was the real relationship between Boki 13 and Prime Minister Zoran Zaev. Boki 13, in fact, in the audio we release, repeatedly emphasizes his closeness to the prime minister and guarantees Kamchev his support.

In the tapes, Jovanovski is arrogant and speaks of a very large network for such extortion in which judges and politicians manipulate facts for personal satisfaction, but above all they have share tens of millions of euros.

Given that what have been publishing is in the hands of the prosecutor’s office fighting against crime for several weeks, we hope that the case will be dealt with seriously as soon as possible, along with all other available evidence.

In the context of the wiretapping scandal that upset Macedonia several years ago, the special task was entrusted to Janeva and was in fact a tool ordered by the European Union to defuse the political war between the opposition and the government.

However, given that her appointment was made on the basis of a political compromise between then Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski and opposition leader Zaev, it all suggests that they both agreed in 2015 to continue the events.

Thanks to Janeva’s engagement, Zaev came to power, and Macedonia lost much of its international sovereignty forced to capitulate before Greece’s demands, while Gruevski, leaving his fellow citizens, the citizens who believed in the conservative VMRO-DMNE, escaped the country and is now in exile abroad, Gaiser concludes in his article published in Italian newspaper La Verità.
