The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in constant communication with the Macedonian citizens in Ukraine, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bujar Osmani said on Tuesday. According to him, the circumstances in Ukraine will worsen, so they are carefully working on the safe evacuation of Macedonian citizens, waiting for safe corridors and convoys.

Only 20 people left Ukraine before the war began. Another 30 citizens were evacuated through safe corridors. A total of 50 citizens were there. 15 were part of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission. 15 of our citizens, civilians, have been evacuated, in cooperation with other countries, primarily with Bulgaria which evacuated a group of 200 citizens. We expect to extract the other members of the monitoring mission today. There is a family with a five-day-old baby in Kharkov where the biggest military operations are taking place. We are in constant communication with them. They could not answer the call because they were waiting for the baby to be born. We have communication with many countries that have access to that city, which is located on the border with Russia, to get that family out, Osmani said.
