In his interview with Makfax, opposition leader Hristijan Mickoski accused the Public Prosecutor Ljubomir Joveski of joining the ranks of top judiciary officials who decided to serve Zoran Zaev and his regime. Joveski famously assured the press that there are no politicians involved in the racketeering scandal revolving around Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva, only to be the one to break the news that SDSM party official Frosina Remenski is being charged.

SDSM organized a completely illegal transfer of the cases initiated by the SPO office to Joveski’s OJO office. Was it due to his meeting with one of Zaev’s lawyers, was he being persuaded, either way, he is now one of those who decided to become servants of Zoran Zaev and SDSM, Mickoski said.

Zaev and his party are believed to have orchestrated the move by Janeva, who ordered that her cases used to blackmail and pressure opposition officials are given to Joveski, even though she was already in prison and had no authority to give her cases away. Zaev declared the move final, but talks continue with VMRO-DPMNE to adopt an actual law that would regulate the work of state prosecutors following the major corruption scandal.

In his interview, Mickoski insisted that restoring the rule of law will be his top priority after assuming power.

We talk to the citizens and all say that the main problem they have is the lack of the rule of law. We have a team working on how to make the judiciary functional again, Mickoski told Makfax.
