SDSM – DUI presidential candidate Stevo Pendarovski declared that he expects to win in the second round of presidential elections.

Pendarovski won a very slim victory over Gordana Siljanovska – Davkova in the first round, in what is his second attempt to snatch the presidency, after a failed attempt in 2014.

I expect an even more convincing victory in the second round, with the support of those categories of voters who stayed at home in the first round, or supported Blerim Reka, said Pendarovski while voting earlier today in Skopje.

Pendarovski added that he expects that after the elections, the European Union will allow “North Macedonia” to finally begin EU accession talks. The issue became a burning problem for the SDSM – DUI coalition which supports Pendarovski, as France, and other members, announced they will block the accession talks despite the imposed name change.
