The ruling SDSM party promoted a campaign under the slogan “On the right path”, as it prepares for the coming 2020 general elections. One problem – the slogan and the visuals seem lifted from the campaign of its Croatian sister party SDP a decade ago.

SDSM are frequently caught lazily copying ideas, logos and slogans from other parties. In the run up to the 2016 elections, they borrowed heavily from the Serbian nationalist Dveri party, with their call for “life” in Macedonia. And in 2008, they copied the sun symbol from the Dole fruit company. They also stole a rose with a clenched fist symbol from the Dutch PDVA party.
