After being called out for her links with the major racketeering scandal, Defense Minister and SDSM party deputy leader Radmila Sekerinska insisted that there will be no “sacred cows” as the investigation moves forward. According to allegations from a journalist who had early access to the findings of the investigation, Sekerinska is linked to two people who were active in the fake charity set up by Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13, which was allegedly used to extort money.

None of us has anything to hide. The innuendo based on idle talk is not useful. I can also say that a friend of your friend’s colleague is now a fugitive in Budapest. Does that make your friend responsible for the flight? Nobody reasonable would say that. Prosecutors should do their job and we proved that there are no “sacred cows”. Nobody is protected by the Government. On the contrary, we showed that the institutions are functioning without political pressures, Sekerinska said when journalists pressed her on the racketeering scandal during a public event today.

Sekerinska added that she has not signed contracts or favored or protected anybody as Defense Minister.
