Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic rebuffed requests from the oppositions parties for a technical Government, and said that he will not allow people like Boki 13 to assume power. Vucic has often drew comparisons between the political crisis in Macedonia and the similar requests in Serbia, and pointed out to the major corruption scandal in Macedonia as evidence what would happen if Serbia goes the same way.

You wan’t be seeing the same film shown here. As long as I live there will be no transition governments, but only the Government of the people, the people will decide. I will not allow criminals to assume power. There will be no Boki 13 here, Vucic said.

Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13 is a household name in Serbia, where he frequently appeared in reality shows, most often in drag. The Serbian public was shocked when it was revealed that, with the power-grab in Macedonia, Boki 13 used his links to the SDSM party to build a major racketeering organization that extorted millions from businessmen.

Vucic is warning that, given the ties between SDSM and the Serbian opposition, a similar spike in corruption and abuse of office could be expected if the Serbian opposition assumes power. Just as Macedonia was under international pressure to change its name, and the regime change operation in Macedonia is widely seen as a project meant to achieve just that, Vucic is pressured to recognize Kosovo’s independence. The Serbian opposition is courting international support to take over power, promising they will be more open to recognizing Kosovo than Vucic.

The Government of Serbia won’t be appointed by foreigners. No foreign representative can come here telling us who to put in our Government, only the people can. Foreigners are welcome her, but no if they are bringing down the Government. You get out, Vucic added.
