Tetovo tops the list of most polluted cities in the world, published on Numbeo’s online data base offering information on pollution, costs of living in the countries and the cities, healthcare protection, crime and traffic.
The list is compiled according to the pollution index in the middle of the year.
Those indications are historical and are published periodically, says the explanation on the website.
The pollution index in Tetovo is 97.44, and after Tetovo in second and third place are cities like Kabul in Afghanistan and Kathmandu in Nepal.
The automatic monitoring station for air quality in Tetovo of the Ministry of Environment shows that only two of the 24 days in November were with clean air, ie with less than 50 micrograms per cubic meter of toxic PM-10 particles.
