After the cancellation of the scheduled interview with the opposition leader Hristijan Mickoski, today’s Telma news program went without any news segment on the press conferences of VMRO-DPMNE. The practice of the national television editorial board refusing to listen to and convey the voice of the opposition is a feature of totalitarian regimes. The television has imposed censorship as in the worst times of totalitarian systems. Censorship is neither a European nor a democratic value, but the government that controls the media in Macedonia uses that tool.

Censorship as in the worst times of communist regimes. Tomorrow I was supposed to be on the national TV Telma. I was informed that the television’s editorial board was not happy to hear the voice of the largest political party. They canceled the interview. The reasons can be guessed. This is just a display of a brutal undemocratic attack with the aim to hide the fear of Zaev and the government and to silence the opposition. For three years they have been inventing, constructing, attacking and lying, and now they are censoring me, Mickoski said yesterday.

It is clear that Telma’s red phone is ringing under the direction of Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
