The proposal for one constituency has been going on for two years, and one of the proposers is Pavle Trajanov, MP and President of the Democratic Union.

This is important for the parties but also for the citizens because that opens the democratization of the country. More entities will be involved that will reflect the will of the citizens in the representation in the Parliament. There is a civic consensus, now we are trying to secure a political consensus. This topic has been discussed for a long time and the citizens know what it is about, Trajanov told “Utrinski brifing”.

Trajanov says that the stability of the Government never depends on the unification of the Parliament, the stability depends on the policies of the Government.

Currently, the policies of DUI and Alternative are dominant in the Government, which does not reflect the will of the citizens. The D’Hondt method we apply is not good because it stifles smaller parties and benefits large parties. There are small parties in the parliament, but their role is marginalized, says Trajanov.
