VMRO-DPMNE will vote for the proposed measures by the government, although it considers that they are overdue and insufficient, but the party also announces that they will submit five amendments with four essential remarks.

“We will vote for the proposed measures, although we think they are overdue. Many of the measures had already been proposed by the opposition twenty days ago, and on February 28 they were submitted as proposals to the Parliament. I do not know why the Government refuses to accept the proposals of the opposition, but we see that everything that is rejected is accepted after a few days. They arrogantly call us to accept the measures we have proposed,” said Bojan Stojanovski, MP from VMRO-DPMNE before today’s parliamentary session.

He announced that they will submit five amendments with four essential remarks that will be discussed at the Committee on Finance and Budget and they hope that the government will accept them. They will demand a 50 percent reduction of the excise tax on gasoline and diesel fuels, a 100 percent reduction of the excise tax on gas and methane, a reduction of VAT on heating from 5 to 0 percent, a reduction of VAT on imported energy from 18 to 5 percent and so on by the end of the year.
