VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski said after meeting with his coalition partners tonight that he had been communicating with other political parties to join the coalition, some of which he said he saw yesterday in the company of Zoran Zaev. Talks are ongoing, as he said, with Albanian political parties, but there is still no definitive conclusion as to whether there will be a pre-election or post-election coalition with them.

Regarding the polls conducted these days over the ratings of the parties, Mickoski said that VMRO-DPMNE leads with over 100,000 votes which is very different from what Zaev claims that SDSM is in the lead.

The truth is very different from what Zaev said yesterday. We lead with more than 100,000 votes, but that’s not enough. We do not fight for a mere victory in this election, but for a victory with greater legitimacy in order to have a stable government and a stable majority that will prevent any kind of political engineering, emphasized Mickoski.

For all of us, he added, it will be a challenge to motivate citizens to get out to vote in large numbers. In the second part of the meeting, which continues tonight, he said, they will discuss other topics of interest to the coalition partners.
