During his question time in Parliament today, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev confirmed that he was meeting with Zoran Mileski – Zoki Kicheec, who is the second defendant in the major racketeering case.
Mileski, a businessman from Skopje, was reportedly working with Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13 to extort money from businessmen who were charged by Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva, The two were promising the businessmen that they will get Janeva to drop her charges in exchange for sums ranging from several hundred thousands to several million euros. Zaev is close to both Janeva, who was instrumental in his rise to power, and Boki 13.
Zaev insisted that his meetings with Mileski were business related, as he was promoting a mining company from Australia interested in investing in Macedonia.
