Prime Minister and SDSM leader, Zoran Zaev resigned from his position in the party, reported SDK.mk.
According to the party’s statute, the resignation of the leader Zaev ends the mandate of the entire leadership of SDSM.
Earlier, when announcing his resignation on the day of the second round of elections, Zaev stressed that he remains of the opinion that there should be no early parliamentary elections, because, as he said, there are two and a half excellent and unique years for the state that the whole nation and state will benefit from.
I will stay for this period while there’s need, to help, to reorganize a new government with a progressive majority that it has and exists, and can be even increased, said Zaev.
The party informed today that daily consultations and working meetings are underway with the partners in the coalition from the parliamentary majority, as well as within the top leadership of SDSM.
