Cardiologist Zan Mitrev said that he was informed about the plan by the Zaev Government to take over the management of private hospitals from the press. Mitrev runs a major clinic in Skopje, which is one of the two main private options for Covid-19 patients, and said that he welcomes the idea.

In March we offered 40 intensive care beds. In the meantime the situation escalated. We aware that there are no beds available in the public healthcare system. So me and my team are at disposal, Mitrev said.

Under the plan, that is being introduces using legislation for crisis situations, the Government will pay 30 percent for the treatment price to private hospitals. The main prize here seems to be the Acibadem Sistina hospital, whose owner Jordan Orce Kamcev was already target of extortion from top officials of the Zaev regime.
