Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the country can’t agree to sanctions of Russian oil and gas.

We condemn the Russian armed invasion. But we can’t allow Hungarian families to be forced to pay the price of war. Sanctions on Russia can’t extend to the oil and gas sector, Orban said after meeting British Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

The US yesterday said that they will no longer purchase Russian gas – which makes only a small share of their imports. Orban pointed out to the fact that Hungary imports the bulk of its energy from Russia. “90 percent of our homes are heated with gas”, the Prime Minister said.
