Russian forces in Ukraine continued to press against the port city of Mariupol, which has been besieged for over a week. The Ukrainian army warns that there are serious civilian casualties in the city, and continue to demand help from the NATO countries, in closing off the sky above Ukraine.

Russia also destroyed a large underground arms site in the western city of Ivano Frankivsk, using its most modern hypersonic missile Kinzhal. The rocket flies at up to 6,000 kilometers an hour and is therefore very difficult to intercept.

Ukraine, on the other hand, is trying to counter-attack near the capital Kiev and in the southern port city of Nikolayev, which is the main barrier on the road to Odessa. The Ukrainians also informed that they have killed another Russian general – Andrey Mordvichev, who died in the south of the country.
