Macedonia’s Government at a session on Tuesday decided to freeze the prices of rice, pasta and eggs until January 31, 2022, said Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi.

At the proposal of the Ministry of Economy, the Government made a decision to expand the list of products with the prices that were applied on December 1, 2021 in retail and wholesale.

The list is expanded with three new basic food products – rice, eggs and pasta and aims to prevent possible increases in the prices of these basic products which, like other basic food products, are widely used in the diet of the population.

This decision will be valid until January 31, 2022.
