Citizens should not be worried about running out of basic necessities, said Aneta Simeska – Dimoska, head of the market inspection service, which is being used by the Government to go after allegations of hoarding and artificial shortages in the markets.

There are sufficient supplies – in just one producer, we estimate that there are reserves of refined oil for three months, and three months worth of raw materials. This means that there will be no shortage, reserves are estimated at 100,000 liters, said Simeska.

Dimeska added that her inspectors will continue to evaluate whether the price of cooking oil is being set in accordance with the Government’s guidelines that limit profit margins.
