The 2019 budget rebalance prepared by the Ministry of Finance, whose final stage includes the new Minister Nina Angelovska, is due to be discussed at Tuesday’s government session.
Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said Monday that the preparation of the rebalance is in the final stages and that it should provide support to capital projects and new measures for higher wages and better services to citizens.
One of the measures to be incorporated in the rebalance is for the state to cover health and pension insurance contributions if the employer raises workers’ salaries to a net amount of 25 percent of the average wage.
The measure should start applying in October this year.
