If the national strategic reserves are full, why did the Government allow an increase in the prices of basic food items, asks the opposition VMRO-DPMNE party. Customers across Macedonia are reporting shortages, mainly of meat, cooking oil and flour, even as the Government insists that it keeps sufficient reserves.
We had to learn from Serbian President Vucic that Macedonia has turned to them asking for grains and corn. And now the Government insists that we have sufficient reserves. If it is so, why aren’t those reserves used to bring down the price? Our citizens were already being impoverished with the energy price hikes, and now the food prices are adding a new blow, VMRO-DPMNE said.
