Volkswagen’s management disqualifies Serbia and Macedonia and will soon decide whether to invest about 2 million euros in Turkey or Bulgaria.
Volkswagen named Turkey and Bulgaria as finalists for the location of the new car factory. At the beginning of the year, the German automotive giant announced that it will manufacture electric vehicles in its plants in Germany and will consider changing the production of certain models with conventional engines in a factory that will be established somewhere in Eastern Europe.
Initially, the list of potential countries included five countries, but the company has since reduced the choice to Turkey and Bulgaria.
