A pregnant 22 year old woman from Skopje is one of the 28 casualties of the coronavirus epidemic reported today. Republika earlier erroneously reported that the deceased patient was a man.

The Healthcare Ministry informed that the patient was treated at the Gynecology Clinic for three days for being in an at risk pregnancy in late November. On November 26th, she was admitted to the 8th of September hospital, which treats the most severe coronavirus cases, in a bad state where she was kept on mechanical ventilation. This is one of the youngest patients to succumb to the illness in Macedonia.

Skopje has a total of five victims today, Prilep has six deaths reported, and three were reported in Bitola. Most of the deceased are in their 50-ies, 60-ies and 70-ies. The total death toll of the epidemic now stands at 2,051.

The Healthcare Ministry also registered 929 new cases out of a total of 2,758 tests. More than 400 of the new cases were registered in Skopje, and Struga, Veles, Tetovo, Kumanovo and Prilep all have around 40 new cases. The number of active cases is relatively steady at 21,468.
