DUI leader Ali Ahmeti, after meeting with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev on Monday, said that the decisions to be taken should be in favor of the state, the majority of citizens and parties. He confirmed that talks between the two parties continue at the level of organizational secretaries.
Asked whether DUI would support Zoran Zaev as a candidate, Ahmeti did not respond specifically. He said that it would be not a good idea a leader of a political party to become president.
Asked about Nikola Dimitrov, the DUI leader said that he did not want to endorse names, because there are surveys that should give more concrete information. Ahmeti stressed that he would not run for president.
Following the meeting with Ahmeti, Zaev announced talks with other political parties from and outside of the government coalition.
