Skender Rexhepi, member of Parliament who was elected on the Alternative party ticket but broke with its leadership, formed a new party called National Movement.

This is the latest new party to be formed in the Albanian camp, after similar moves by a group of former DUI party officials led by Izet Mexhiti, and the party formed by Arijanit Hoxha, who was official of the BESA party.
