The investigation into the major racketeering scandal that is shaking Macedonia finally draws near on some of the SDSM party officials close to the chief defendants – Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva and showman Bojan Jovanovski – Boki 13. One of the SDSM officials who was frequently seen accompanying Boki 13, former deputy SDSM leader Frosina Remenski is set to be questioned tomorrow. Another of Boki 13’s associates, recently deposed SDSM Secretary General Aleksandar Kiracovski recently pleaded with the press to stop reporting so much on the scandal, and today, he responded to the news of Remenski’s coming interrogation by demanding that everybody who has a photograph with Boki 13 is questioned.

We mustn’t leave a single spot on the process, by allowing various speculations to keep circulating in the public. For example, this could only be done if everybody who has even one photograph with the defendants, is also questioned, and the context of the photograph is clarified before the public. Maybe its superfluous, but it would tone down all unfounded suspicions. A small spot of cavity on the tooth can cause significant damage if not fixed in time, Kiracovski said in a Facebook comment.

The list of SDSM party officials who were close to Boki 13 is endless, starting with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and his deputy Radmila Sekerinska. Remenski and Kiracovski were frequently mentioned in the press and in social media as two most closely connected with Janeva’s and Boki 13’s extortion attempts, which allegedly included threatening businessmen with criminal charges coming from Janeva, and with Boki 13’s links to the top of the ruling SDSM party.
