After the strongman tactics used last week to ensure the survival of the Zaev Government, SDSM now asks VMRO-DPMNEto help them adopt the 2022 budget. SDSM doesn’t have majority after the BESA party left its coalition and Zaev is frantically trying to bring another smaller Albanian party – Alternative – into the coalition, so he can get to 61 votes.

SDSM expects constructive behavior from the opposition, without blockades, said SDSM member of Parliament Marija Georgievska, as she was asking support from VMRO.

VMRO-DPMNE already said that the party won’t block the procedure, but it’s not clear whether they will go so far as to give SDSM the votes it lacks – especially if VMRO proposals are not made part of the budget.
