Goran Milevski, the leader of the LDP party, said that Zoran Zaev’s resignation as Prime Minister is assured, and will lead to a significant remake of the Government. Zaev announced his resignation after the major defeat in the local elections on Sunday, but since then, he had his allies publicly call on him to change his mind and remain as Prime Minister, which raised suspicions in his motives.

There will be a new Government. The Prime Minister is resigning and the Government is resigning. You can’t have the Prime Minister leave and the Ministers remain, they are his picks, Milevski said.

When asked about Zaev’s maneuvering after the elections in light of the elections, Milevski warned that the citizens sent a message that “if someone tries to take all, he can lose all”.

LDP and the DOM party, which together hold three seats in Parliament and can bring down the Government, ran independent campaigns from Zaev and did some damage to his SDSM party across the country, especially in Skopje and Bitola. Milevski said that he will remain in the SDSM led coalition, but that now their voice will have to be heard.
